Special groups win

Infection, pregnancy, perinatal and injury chapters take priority over body-system chapters. Codes are grouped by clinical axis, not alphabetically.

Dagger and asterisk pairs

Manifestation codes never appear alone. When a code carries an asterisk, the explorer shows its dagger aetiology code and the required sequencing.

Laterality and modifiers

Left and right structures are distinct meshes bound to distinct FMA concepts, so lateralised codes resolve correctly instead of collapsing to an unspecified code.

Live NLM validation

When the local crosswalk has no entry, the explorer queries the NLM Clinical Tables ICD-10-CM service for official titles and current codes.

Canadian standards

Code cards link to summaries of the ICD-10-CA and CCI standards that govern MRDx selection, significance criteria, specificity and clustering.
